Faulkner-Ciocca is the first employer to receive the award in this area. There are 141 employers in 39 states being recognized by The Compassionate Friends for showing extra sensitivity to bereaved employees following the death of a child.
These employers provided additional time off without loss of benefits, allowed for flexible work schedules and assignments, gave leeway in job performance standards, fostered an environment of mutual support among coworkers, provided professional grief counseling, human resources support, or information regarding self-help bereavement organizations, and provided grieving employees with other services.
Compassionate Friends describes Gregg Ciocca as a "very caring employer and very supportive to the needs and feelings of a parent who has experienced the death of a child."
Compassionate Friends, a nonprofit organization, is a support group for families and friends who have lost loved ones, particularly children, too soon.

Right off the bat, we want to inform our readers of a monthly program
that we will be running on our blog, and Facebook. The monthly program was setup
to support the local community, which is why we call it our, Local Partner
Program. In the current economic environment, we believe that it's more
important than ever to support our neighbors. We want to keep our business in
the community, and we hope that our Local Partner Program encourages everyone in
our local Quakertown community to do the same.
We will be posting a blog article every month, and in that article, we
will feature our local partner. We will then post our local partner coupons on
Facebook, so that the local community can log in, and print out the coupons. If
you'd like to be notified when new coupons are available, please consider
